About Us

The Community Benefit Network (CBN) is a public health organization. We develop health & wellness programs using a systems-level approach with an eye on sustainability. This is accomplished by "connecting the dots" among community stakeholders in keeping with the 10 Essential Public Health Services & 3 Core Functions.

The Community Benefit Network can trace its roots to a research project. Groups of health care professionals were tasked with implementing community health programs using Public Health principles. Some programs were implemented using a systems-level approach & had the seeds of sustainability built in.

In response to demonstrated effectiveness and positive participant feedback, community stakeholders requested that some programs continue beyond the original term in order to continue promoting health & wellness in the community.

This prompted the formation of the Community Benefit Network.
